Liturgical Dance
"If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." - 1 Peter 4:11
What is the Liturgical Dance Ministry?
The Lord established His Liturgical Dance Ministry in Oct. 2000 at Mt. Pisgah AME. We are a branch of the music ministry and ministers of the Gospel through movement.
The theme of this ministry provides a clue to its purpose: Ministering in His Spirit with Excellence: All to the Glory of GOD! We minister to an audience of one, the Lord and our garment is the Fruit of the Spirit. Our purpose is to glorify and exalt the Lord and to prepare the way for the Word of God to be heard. We don’t glorify our gift; we glorify the Giver. It is with great humility that we go before God.
We are thankful to have the privilege to be used as His vessels to bless others. It is only with God’s anointing that the blessings fall. We do not take God’s anointing for granted, therefore we study His word diligently, fast, and seek God’s guidance to show ourselves approved as workers. As God blesses us, His Spirit flows through us to others and returns back to Him.
As one of God’s divisions in His army, a ministry is a representation of Jesus Christ to the world and is a sacred calling. We take our responsibility seriously.
